Who's travelling ?

sur le siège conducteur : Chamsia (26)

On the driver's seat

I'm born mongrel, and with both french and afghan cultures, I had the oppotunity to travel many times around the world, specially in countries not often visited. I love the atmosphere of Orientals' deserts and my passion consist in sweeping those grains to discover forgotten civilizations. Since I graduated I studied archaeology and I passed my Master diploma in 2007. I'm specialized on Central Asia of the firts millenium BC. So I went many times on excavation campaigns, by side, twice in Turkmenistan (Ulug Depe), once in Afghanistan (Bactra), and once in Uzbekistan (Samarkand).

This project is also a way to meet people on the spot related on archaeology, to eventually find a job for after, and mainly to visit all these sites I've studied but not seen in real (like India, Iran and Turkey)...

sur le siège passager : Loïc (22)

On the passenger's seat

Small little man, Loïc is affected by a genetical disease, the Williams and Beuren's syndroma. Since he was born, he also had a kidney insufficiency and received a transplantation at 13. Specific to his disease, he developped an over-sensitiveness to noise and is gifted with the "absolute ear". By the way, Loïc is a talentuous musician, playing a lot of piano, sometimes guitar, drums, and indian harmonium we've offered him. Always happy, his habits and passions  bring him in another world. In addition to Lego that he's assembling to make them turn, he collects small Volkswagen Bugs since he was a child. Public transports, specially the A line of the RER in Paris, are his favorite subjects. In his room, you can see planes, posters and pictures of the parisian subway, books on trains and of course, a lot of buggies...

He's also a traveller, he had the opportunity to go with all the family in Ceylan, Crete, United States, Tunisia and many Europeans countries. I'll do my best to let him discover a small piece of Bangladesh, India and maybe Iran,

Inchahallah...

et la Cox bien sûr ! (33)

And the Bug of course!

This Bug is, like me and my brother, a globe-trotter... For their honey-moon, Alim and Colette buy this car in the 1970's and decide to come back in the native country of Alim by the road. Gone from Nancy, they traveled through Europe, Persia, Himalayas and the Indian sub-continent in a heavy winter, and finally settled in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
